JCN IS OUTSTANDING

Just a quick word of thanks for the most recent issue of the Journal of Christian Nursing, which was absolutely outstanding!! I read every article cover to cover this morning-couldn't put it down. I am glad that I recently renewed my subscription.

I very much appreciated the article on cremation, the article on when to refer for pastoral care, and most of all, the editorial about compassion in nursing care.

Editorial

Your editorial really spoke to my heart. Thank you for reminding me why I'm in nursing.

UPDATE ON JCN EDITOR'S DAUGHTER

Many thanks to all who prayed for and inquired about my daughter, whom I wrote about in the July-September editorial after she suffered a severe head injury in a skiing accident. Neurologists and neurosurgeons told us that surgery, death, or long-term sequelae are not uncommon with the injury she incurred. But God rescued her!! She never required surgery and fully recovered from the accident. We praise God for his goodness.-KSS

CORRECTION NOTICE

JCN apologizes for an error in the biographical information of the July-September 2008 issue on page 164. The correct information should have read: "Clay Colmant, BSN, RN, is the Assistant Director of Nursing for Signature HealthCare in Gainesville, Florida."
