Abstract

This article discusses the importance of self-care in enhancing the emotional well-being of generalist community nurses providing palliative care. This research undertaken in Australia explored the relationship between emotional well-being and professional practice. The results demonstrated the importance of self-care, aspects of palliative care that impacted on nurses' well-being, and strategies utilized by nurses to care holistically for themselves to continue providing holistic palliative care.
