The 2009 Career Guide, a supplement to the January issue of AJN, incorrectly associated the credentialing for the certified pediatric nurse (CPN), the certified pediatric NP for primary care (CPNP-Primary Care), and the certified pediatric NP for acute care (CPNP-Acute Care) with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Actually, these credentials are offered by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (http://www.pncb.org).
