Historically, pseudocyst drainage has been performed in an endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) setting, using fluoroscopic guidance. With the evolution of therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), a hybrid procedure requiring physicians and nurses experienced in both EUS and ERCP has evolved. This presentation will describe the advanced ERCP and EUS skills and equipment necessary to safely and effectively perform an EUS-guided trans-gastric pseudocyst drainage.
