The newly inducted 2009-2010 Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) President would like to present to the membership an introduction to the 2009-2010 SGNA Theme. The theme will focus on the current strengths and future direction of our organization. SGNA's strategic plan will be the guiding force behind this presentation. The foundation of SGNA has been built on its rich historical past. It is the blending of this past with the opportunities and challenges of our future that will pave the way for continued professional growth and organizational strength. Since this theme is created and referred to by the SGNA President throughout their one-year term, its message sets the stage for the future correspondence and development within our organization. The membership is given insight into the heart and soul of SGNA, and each participant is invited to join together in the SGNA journey of future discovery and growth.
