AQUACEL Ag Dressing with Strengthening Fiber. This improved ribbon dressing is up to 20 times stronger than the original ribbon dressing and offers reduced shrinkage. It can be used to pack a wide variety of cavity wounds, such as postsurgical wounds, excised abscesses, pilonidal cysts, and Stages III and IV pressure ulcers that have tunneling and undermining. It is also the only absorbent filler dressing to offer the unique gelling benefits of hydrofiber technology plus ionic silver, which kills a broad range of pathogens in the dressing, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and vancomycin-resistant enterococci, according to the manufacturer.
