Staff report

Hundreds of attendees were treated to an unparelleled variety of sessions and exhibits at the 30th annual Nursing Management Congress in Chicago. From the inspirational-such as opening session speaker Faith Roberts' crab bucket analogy, keynote presenter Matthew Kelly's treaty on the myth of work-life balance, and closing session speaker Erik Wahl's presentation "The Art of Vision"-to the practical, such as the preconference new manager intensive and breakout sessions on achieving Magnet(R) status, improving interdisciplinary communication, understanding generational differences, and implementing health IT to name just a few, Congress2009 had something for everyone in attendance to help improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of their care delivery and nursing practice.
