What should a clinician look for when selecting a protein supplement?

There are many factors to consider when selecting a protein supplement, but perhaps the most important point is patient acceptability. Unless the patient agrees to consume it, the product does not matter. Taste, flavor, and ease of consumption have to be top on the list. In addition, amino acid content, cost, preparation time, and fluid volume are important.
