New Hampshire CE Requirements for License Renewal

New-Hampshire.jpegAs a nurse in the state of New Hampshire, you are required to earn continuing education to renew your active license. All of our CE activities are accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). To assist you in meeting your state’s continuing education requirements, we have added links to related topics. Please ensure that any activity meets the requirements of your state board of nursing.

Renewal Requirements

RN
  • Every two years
    • 30 hours of continuing education 
LPN 
  • Every two years
    • 24 hours of continuing education 
    • If administering medications, 8 of the 24 hours should be related to medication administration
Advanced Practice
  • Every two years
    • 60 hours of continuing education
      • 30 hours required for RN licensure
      • 30 contact hours for APRN licensure, specific to specialty practice area
      • 5 hours related to pharmacology
    • For licensees with an active DEA# for prescribing, 3 of the 5 hours must address opioid prescribing, pain management, or substance abuse disorder.
