Abstract
Abstract: Despite recently published definitions and guidelines that provide a framework for the care of patients with sepsis, there is no strong consensus among experts about many aspects of sepsis screening or the assessment and care of patients with sepsis. This article highlights current evidence revealed by some recent significant research studies and discusses the implications for nursing practice.
