Patient Education Video

Family Health Media, Charlottesville, VA, has introduced Preventing Diabetic Foot Ulcers-The 3-Step Program. This 18-minute video is designed for people who have diabetes and peripheral neuropathy or other risk factors for foot problems. The program uses interesting demonstrations; colorful motion graphics; and Archie, a friendly talking foot, to help viewers understand the serious potential consequences of neuropathy and learn 3 basic steps they can take to help avoid ulceration.

Rather than overwhelming viewers with too much information, the video presents a simple, organized, and achievable prevention plan. The video won first place in the diabetes category of the 2005 International Health & Medical Media Awards.

The video is available for $99 in English or Spanish, DVD or VHS cassette. A wall poster is included with purchase. Free video previews are available.
