Thank you for "Improving Medication Adherence with Orally Disintegrating Tablets" (Doing It Better, September 2006). The article mentioned that patients who have phenylketonuria (PKU) shouldn't use most orally disintegrating tablets because many of them contain aspartame. I brought this to the attention of the medical services team at my agency, which serves people with PKU. As a result, we made a medication change for one of our clients. A little information can go a long way!!
