From the earliest days of my childhood, I always knew I wanted to be a nurse. Some might find it odd, as many kids dream of becoming astronauts, superheroes, or athletes, but for me, the idea of being a nurse was as clear as the blue sky on a summer day.

It all began with my grandmother, Grandma Rose, who lived with us when I was growing up. She was a kind and gentle soul who faced her share of health challenges in her later years. I would watch in awe as nurses came to our home, providing care with warmth, compassion, and a touch of magic that seemed to heal more than just physical wounds.

One particular nurse, Nurse Sarah, stands out in my memory. She was like a guardian angel in a crisp white uniform. She knew how to turn a sterile hospital room into a place of comfort. She would sit with Grandma Rose, talking to her about her life, her dreams, and even her favorite recipes. She didn't just administer medication; she provided a lifeline to hope. I like to blog about nursing and crisis to try to continue my urge to help.

As a young adult, I was in an accident in which I had become critically burned.
The nurses that treated me n the hospitalwere the epitome of caring professionalism. I wanted to be like them. After I was healed, I matriculated into Nursing School. Nursing School was therapy for me. I worked as a Registered Nurse treating Burn Victims. My empathy experience behooves my Nursing skills.

I am a Filipina Nurse who has been working in the Middle East for 11 years, My story of me being a nurse is nothing new, my mother thought I could be a doctor. While my parents was thinking that way, I was in the other way of dreaming about being a weather girl or a weather forecaster. I was even talking about it in my sleep. Oh well, my parents still pushed it (Filipino parents!), Back then my circle of friends took the nursing aptitude test so I told my mom that day, I’m taking the Nursing test too. They were surprised about it but talk about spontaneity! After I graduated, they have told me, being a nurse could bring greener pastures and that means a lot of dollars!

I got my motivation from my elder sister, it became stronger when my Dad got ill. The way the nurses cared for him, the way they were appreciated and blessed, got my tripping.
Somehow, I saw those nurses in me, and boom! I became a nurse.

Nursing chose me. I've always loved caring for people and looking after everyone around me. I wanted to be a pharmacist while growing up but I was greatly inspired by a family nurse. I fell in love with this great profession so much that I'm glad I answered the call. As a student nurse,I've enjoyed every bit of it and can't wait to be a certified nurse.
