Abstract
Abstract: Vasoactive medications are used to restore hemodynamic stability. Each agent has unique pharmacologic characteristics and is suitable for a specific type of circulatory abnormality. The actions and adverse reactions of commonly used vasoactive medications will be reviewed along with practical nursing considerations for effective titration and safe medication administration.
