Abstract

Grapefruit juice is typically consumed in the morning at the same time that many patients take their medications. Therefore, there is a concern among healthcare professionals that this may result in clinically significant drug interactions. This article reviews the current understanding of drug-grapefruit juice interactions and those drugs most likely to be affected by the ingestion of grapefruit juice.
