Despite current trends that indicate increasing incidence, acute myocardial infarction remains an uncommon event in pregnant women, yet an important contributor to perinatal morbidity and mortality. Diagnosis and treatments represent a complex challenge during pregnancy, and timeliness and coordination of both are critical.
