Day 1

The conference will kick off at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, with the opening ceremony and editorial awards presented by The Nurse Practitioner journal's Editor-in-Chief Jamesetta A. Newland, PhD, FNP-BC, FAANP, DPNAP, FAAN. The keynote address follows, featuring a showing of "Inventing the Nurse Practitioner in America," a documentary by Susan Hagedorn, PhD, RN, FAANP, FAAN. The film features interviews, historical footage, and analysis from noted innovators in nursing and examines the roots and evolution of NPs. A Q&A session with the director will follow, and learning will begin with an afternoon of 10 concurrent sessions on topics such as QT-prolonging medications, bipolar disease, anticoagulant pharmacology, and hot topics in men's health, along with a two-part workshop on common office procedures. (For a complete list of all sessions and workshops during the conference, visit http://www.ncnpconference.com.) Then prepare for some fun as we open the exhibit hall with a light dinner reception and showcase our poster presenters. This will be a great time to meet and exchange ideas with NPs from all over the country!

Day 2

Beginning bright and early with Sunrise Yoga at 6:30 am, Day 2 features 24 concurrent sessions including two intensive workshops on ortho/joint injections and acute airway evaluation and management. This day has something for everyone, from acute and emergent care topics such as treating infection, hemodynamics, and kidney disease to sessions on street drugs, skin cancer, cardiovascular risk in women, and opioid prescribing-so you'll be sure to find sessions that fit your practice. You can take breaks throughout the day to browse the exhibit hall, eat a complimentary lunch, and meet fellow NPs. The day ends at 5:00 p.m., and if you have any energy left after a full day of learning, you can head out to the Disney parks for some magical fun!

Day 3

The learning continues on Friday morning, with sessions starting at 8:30 a.m. (21 in all), featuring our popular all-day workshop on basic suturing. Need to learn more about 12-lead ECG interpretation, preventing HIV, tick-borne infections, or acid-base disturbances? How about updates on diabetes care, microbiomes, or cervical cancer screening? We've got you covered! With these topics along with 13 more, you're sure to find exactly what you need. Don't forget to visit the exhibit hall between sessions to learn about new products, network with new friends, grab some lunch, and view poster presentations.

Day 4

On Saturday, get in a few more hours of intensive learning with 11 concurrent sessions and a two-part workshop on using essential oils in clinical practice. We'll wrap up by noon so you can decompress for the rest of the day relaxing by the pool or enjoying all that Walt Disney World has to offer, from the Magical Kingdom to Disney Springs and beyond.
