I am pleased to announce the appointment of three stellar colleagues to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing (JWOCN). Each brings unique knowledge and experience as clinician, scholar, or researcher, and each brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in support of JWOCN's primary mission, serving as the premiere journal for Wound, Ostomy, Continence, and Foot and Nail care.

The first appointment is Dr Carolyn Crumley, who will serve as Section Editor for Evidence-Based Report Cards. In consultation with Deputy Editor Dr Kelechi and I, Dr Crumley has forged an ambitious roadmap for sustaining the strengths of this popular and valuable section of JWOCN (highly focused systematic and scoping reviews), in addition to launching new feature articles highlighting the technologies and products that support our practice. Dr Crumley practices as a WOC nurse at St Luke's East Hospital located in the greater Kansas City Missouri area. In addition to her clinical practice, she serves as Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. Dr Crumley has published multiple times in JWOCN, contributed to the WOCN Society's Core Curriculum textbooks, and addressed colleagues at our National Conference. Dr Crumley's Doctor of Nursing Practice, combined with her mastery of synthesis of knowledge and integration into effective WOC nursing practice make her the ideal person for this essential section of the Journal.

The second is Dr Laura Edsberg, who will be serving as Editorial Advisor to the Journal. Dr Edsberg is researcher and Professor at Daeman College in Amherst, New York. She also acts as Director of the College's Center for Wound Healing Research. Dr Edsberg is well known to members of the WOCN Society as member and Past President of the National Pressure Injury Alliance Panel (NPIAP), an author who has published multiple seminal articles in JWOCN, including the latest revised staging system for pressure injuries and the NPIAP's state of the science summary of evidence and consensus surrounding avoidable and unavoidable pressure injuries. Dr Edsberg's appointment will substantially strengthen the Editorial Board's collective expertise in several key areas including the etiology and pathophysiology of pressure injury and the effects of key risk factors increasing the risk for pressure injury, including moisture and friction.

The third is Dr Timothy Porter-O'Grady, who will also serve as an Editorial Advisor to the Journal. Dr Porter-O'Grady is also well known to WOCN Society members for his voluminous contributions to health care literature and his keynote addresses to our National Conference. Dr Porter-O'Grady had a well-established and renowned career as Senior Partner for Tim Porter-O'Grady Associates, who serve as consultants to a global group of health care facilities and systems. Some will also recall that Dr Porter-O'Grady sought and obtained certification as a certified wound and foot and nail care nurse through the WOCNCB (CWCN, CFCN) and provides services to a particularly underserved population. In addition to his growing expertise in this area of our specialty practice, Dr Porter-O'Grady is one of the world's leading scholars in the area of health care organizations (including complex and large healthcare systems), along with expertise of the management and operations of these incredibly complex organizations. Dr Porter-O'Grady's appointment as Editorial Advisor will substantially improve our collective expertise in all areas of professional practice, models for health care delivery, and service to vulnerable populations.
