This presentation will begin with an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the esophagus. Indications for esophageal motility testing will be given. Case presentations for motility disorders of the esophagus will be evaluated. Finally, the controversies of provocative medication used during esophageal manometry will be presented.

We are pleased to present the Abstracts from the SGNA's 32nd Annual Course: Passion for GI Nursing: Pass It On!! The diversity of these topics certainly reflects the richness and breadth of our specialty.
