Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD)

CHADD is a non-profit that focuses on raising awareness about ADHD in children and adults. They provide evidence-based information to communities, hold support groups for friends and families, and advocate for public policies. CHADD also welcomes volunteers and organizes volunteer groups for parents.

 

ADHD Coaches Organization (ACO)

The ACO is a professional membership organization for ADHD coaches worldwide. Following the coaching paradigm of the International Coach Federation, the group trains and supports ADHD coaches through one-on-one and group sessions to leverage their skills in helping patients with ADHD and their families.

 

Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA)

Formed by adults with ADHD, ADDA creates an inclusive community for adults with the disorder to share their stories and empower others. They offer virtual support groups and courses on diverse topics related to living with ADHD, such as managing relationships, socio-emotional wellness, and improving one's self-esteem.

 

The Help Group

Founded in 1975, The Help Group is the largest nonprofit organization that supports children and young adults with special needs including autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, and emotional challenges. Volunteer programs include the Kaleidoscope Help Group for LGBTQ+ individuals; Wraparound, which helps maintain at-risk children in their homes and avoid placement in institutions or other restrictive settings; and Paws & Pals, which provides pet intervention for children with autism.
