Publishing in a scholarly, highly regarded peer-reviewed journal is important to authors and readers because accurate data contribute to the science of the subject matter as well as the knowledge of the reader. The articles published in JONA undergo rigorous double-blinded peer review from an international panel of nursing and research experts. Our responsibility is even more critical because data published in JONA affect patient care, safety, and the work environment. In 2022, as in other years, I depended on our volunteer panel of peer reviewers to support the quality of feedback to authors that JONA is known for.
