Abstract

Objective: The aim of our study was to examine the test-retest reliability and validity of the Dubousset Functional Test (DFT) in older adults.

Methods: The DFT, 3-m Backward Walk Test (3MBWT), Timed Up and Go (TUG) test, and Tinetti Performance-Oriented Mobility Assessment (POMA) were administered to 80 older adults.

Results: Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) values were between 0.819 and 0.965 (excellent agreement). A correlation was found between DFT parameters and the TUG test, 3MBWT, and POMA scores. A low correlation was found between the TUG test and 3MBWT with the dual-task test; no correlation was determined between the POMA scores with the dual-task test.

Conclusion: It was concluded that the DFT is a valid and reliable test for older adults.
