Abstract
PURPOSE: To review the etiology, anatomy, pathophysiology, differential diagnosis, and treatment of compartment syndrome.
TARGET AUDIENCE: This continuing education activity is intended for physicians and nurses with an interest in wound care.
OBJECTIVES: After reading this article and taking this test, the reader should be able to:
1. Describe the etiology, anatomy, and pathophysiology of compartment syndrome.
2. Discuss the differential diagnosis and treatment options for compartment syndrome.
