Abstract
Dietitians have many options of directions for advanced practice as a career trajectory. The purpose of this article was to describe advanced practice clinical dietitians whose work is focused primarily on conducting research. General characteristics of research skill development are discussed. In addition, the specific examples of 2 advanced practice research dietitians are presented as examples of this type of career development.
