Abstract
Creating a healthy workplace that incorporates and embraces a culture of caring is essential. As the nursing profession moves forward in a healthcare environment characterized by revisions and cutbacks, a closer look must be taken at the culture we are creating, not only for our patients but also for our workplaces. To address this culture, we must look deeper into the function of the healthcare system. How does the organization and nursing unit convey a culture of caring? The creation of a culture that supports care by addressing the needs of patients and families while valuing practitioners is the focus of this discussion.
