Abstract

The purpose of this article is to first review the traditional abdominoplasty procedure. Current studies focused upon improvements in abdominoplasty surgery and results of surgery will then be discussed.

Abdominoplasty is a familiar procedure in plastic surgery and has increased in numbers performed by more than 300% in the past decade (Brauman & Capocci, 2009).
