The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Cancer Institute have published the U.S. Cancer Statistics: 1999-2010 Incidence and Mortality Web-based Report, which contains official federal statistics on cancer incidence (newly diagnosed cases) from registries that met data quality criteria from the combined sources of the CDC and the NCI. The data from 2010 are the most recent year for which data are available. Mortality data from the National Vital Statics System of CDC's National Center for Health Statistics are included for each state. The report is available online at apps.nccd.cdc.gov/uscs/.

The website also includes state-specific and regional data for cancer cases diagnosed and cancer deaths that occurred from 1999 to 2010 and for 2006 to 2010 combined, including the Interactive Cancer Atlas (InCA)-which creates U.S. maps for quick comparison of state cancer data.

The report is produced in collaboration with the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries.
