ACell, Inc, Columbia, Maryland, has entered into a national purchasing agreement with Novation, Irving, Texas, for the company's MatriStem devices. The MatriStem devices also were awarded the Innovative Technology designation from Novation, a healthcare supply chain expertise, analytics, and contracting company. The new agreement broadens physician access of MatriStem to an additional 100,000 healthcare providers.

 

MatriStem devices have received multiple 510(k) clearances from the Food and Drug Administration and are indicated for complex wound management, including for pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, and trauma wounds, and the reinforcement of soft tissue where weakness exists in urological, gynecological, and gastroenterological anatomy, according to the company.
