Abstract

ABSTRACT: Although lung transplants are miraculous, lifesaving options for terminally ill patients, the decision and lengthy wait for compatible organ(s) takes an enormous toil on the patient's family. This story concerns the multiple needs of a neonatal intensive care unit patient and her family awaiting lung transplant, as an organ finally becomes available during Christmas time. Her nurse's professional confidence and troubling doubts about her competence were gradually resolved with God's help when she called upon him. God's provision for the patient, family, and nurse were a Christmas miracle.
