Compassionate Care

Thank you for your assistance helping me use the NCF member continuing education discount. I finished the article, took the CE test, and the transaction went through perfectly. I appreciate your assistance and especially this particular article, "A Compassionate Visitation Program for Church Homebound Elders" (by Julia Quiring Emblen, JCN, 33(3), 172-178). We have a visitation ministry at our church and do many things mentioned in this article. Reading it was as if someone was shadowing our work. I ordered two of the books by Quiring Emblen and finally have a wonderful resource to support my visitation volunteers.

Added Perspective

Thank you for your thoughtful edits and the addition of the sidebar to my article on Trauma Informed Care (TIC). I like the perspective you added to the TIC concept (p. 210). I am amazed when I look at nursing curriculum without any type of spiritual care; it's so important to the idea of holistic nursing, as you bring out in the sidebar. I appreciated the editorial assistance on this article, and I am excited to share the information with nurses via print and online access.
