Abstract
T his case study reports results from a federally funded home telemedicine program in rural Grainger County, Tennessee. Patients, family caregivers, and providers were generally satisfied with this low-cost, user-friendly telemedicine program that used the plain-old-telephone system. Mileage and nurse drive time were reduced and nursing productivity was improved during this demonstration project.
