Abstract

ABSTRACT: Spirituality and spiritual care play a crucial role in providing more effective treatment for patients. The purpose of this study was to determine nurses' attitudes toward spirituality and spiritual care in an educational hospital in Iran. A significant association was found between nurses' spirituality/spiritual care attitudes and age, education level, and type of hospital ward employment (noncritical vs. critical care). Nurses' scores on attitudes toward spirituality and spiritual care suggest the need for more education in this area.
