Abstract
In light of an unprecedented shortage of nurses, nurse executives are recruiting registered nurses (RNs) from abroad. Immigration of foreign RNs is laborious because of complicated federal and state certification requirements. The authors discuss relevant immigration law and provide practical advice to achieve an effective immigration process for foreign RNs to the United States.
