While hospitalized for surgeries to correct congenital heart defects, little Allegra was comforted by her "blankies." As a baby, she had no way to understand what was happening to her, nor was there a way to explain things to her, but the touch of the blankies soothed her and helped her feel safe and secure. The constant use wore them out, however, and her grandmother searched for quality, lasting products that she remembered using with her children. Her search ended when she found that sturdy, durable, yet soft and comforting products were not available in today's market. She soon found herself in the company of other women like herself, who wanted lasting quality and comfort for their children and grandchildren.
