How and what physicians and facilities get paid impacts gastroenterology nurses in every setting. All gastroenterology nurses, not just managers or administrators, need to appreciate how gastroenterology procedures get reimbursed and the relationship between revenue, staff, supplies, patient volume, and flow. This 60-minute session sorts out the confusing alphabet soup of reimbursement including "CPT," "ICD," and "RVU." It reviews and applies fundamental concepts of reimbursement to daily gastroenterology nursing practice.
