This session will be discussing the most effective means for small organizations to have influence in the policy arena at a state level and in the political arena. This will include how to structure your legislative committee and duties of this committee, as well as how to build influence with policy makers using hired and contract lobbyists or using member resources (volunteer time).

We are pleased to present the Abstracts from the SGNA's 32nd Annual Course: Passion for GI Nursing: Pass It On!! The diversity of these topics certainly reflects the richness and breadth of our specialty. In keeping with the tradition of the Annual Course, we hope the following abstracts will encourage discussions for improving nursing practice and patient care outcomes.
