EPS(R) Injection Port 4

EPS(R), Inc., a member of the Medi-Dose(R) Group, has introduced an updated version of its injection port, the Injection Port 4. Among the improvements, the Injection Port 4 is now latex-free. The entire device is small, to minimize patient trauma at the injection site, and has been designed to prevent bacterial buildup and reduce alcohol retention when swabbing. The Injection Port 4 also has a transparent bottom that is intended to allow the practitioner to immediately detect blood flashback, and a non-removable, flat, compressed port that is designed to allow repetitive injections with relatively large gauge needles while still resealing. The Venoscope(R) II Transilluminator and the Neonatal Transilluminator

The Venoscope(R) II Transilluminator and the Neonatal Transilluminator are two new products designed to help locate hard-to-find veins in patients, thus reducing the number of supplies needed for venipuncture and the number of needlesticks. Through the use of high-intensity LED lights projected onto a patient's subcutaneous tissue, the instruments highlight the veins that absorb the light rather than reflect it. The Venoscope(R) II Transilluminator and the Neonatal Transilluminator are powered by 3 AA alkaline batteries, and a low-battery indicator signals when the batteries need to be changed. Disposable latex-free covers are available to keep the units from becoming contaminated with body fluids and blood. For more information, visit http://www.venoscope.com.
