SPECIAL COLLECTION FROM ASN JOURNALS: SUSTAINABLE NUTRITION FOR GROWTH

The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented wake-up call, laying bare deep inequalities and exposing precisely the failures that are addressed in the United Nation's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement on climate change. Leveraging this moment of crisis, when usual policies and social norms have been disrupted, this is the time for a profound systemic shift to a more sustainable economy that works for both people and the planet.

Healthier, more inclusive, sustainable, and equitable food systems have the power to catalyze the achievement of all 17 Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 in every country.

This collection by the ASN journals focuses on the UN Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger to reduce stunting and support cognitive growth in children, as well as transforming food systems sustainably for human and planetary health, with reference to lessons learned from ancient, Indigenous cultures to lessons learned during the current pandemic.

The editors of the ASN journals invite you to explore this collection of articles on Sustainable Nutrition for Growth at http://academic.oup.com/asn/pages/sustainable-nutrition-for-growth.
