Award Honors Advances in Skin & Wound Care's Founding Editor
Advances in Skin & Wound Care is pleased to announce the establishment of a new award in honor of the journal's founder, Dr Roberta S. Abruzzese, who passed away in July after a lengthy illness. The Roberta S. Abruzzese Publishing Award is a tribute to Dr Abruzzese's commitment to excellence in clinical practice and her drive to advance the practice of the wound care specialty, particularly through education and the literature.
The winner of the first award will be announced at the 21st annual Clinical Symposium on Advances in Skin & Wound Care, to be held September 28-October 1, 2006, in Lake Buena Vista, FL. The winner will receive a $500 cash award.
All feature-length articles, both clinical topics and original investigations, published in the journal between August 2005 and August 2006 will be eligible, and judging will be done by a panel selected from the journal's editorial advisory board. Seasoned and novice authors are invited to submit their cutting-edge manuscripts to Advances in Skin & Wound Care.
