As a psychiatric nurse, I am much more about the caring than the cure ("The Suffering of Simone," Reflections, April). It's always great when treatment allows someone to live a "normal" life, but in psychiatric nursing, the definition of normal changes. We are there for the patient to witness their triumphs and hold a safe space for their despair.
