BOOK AND MEDIA

Two of our favorite and most trusted publication services, The EQUATOR Network and The Cochrane Community, have added new features. These additional services and publications will help authors and publishers promote scholarly work.

Automatic Translation Services at the EQUATOR Network

The EQUATOR (Enhancing the QUAlity and Transparency Of health Research) Network offers essential tools for medical writers. The organization provides reporting guidelines and checklists to assist authors in manuscript preparation. These tools assist authors in our global network and provide guidance with language and cultural syntax during manuscript development. The EQUATOR Network now offers an expanded feature-automatic website translation for all guidelines and tools!

EQUATOR is an international initiative that strives to promote transparency and accurate reporting of scientific work; this addition extends the dissemination of their support tools, enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in scientific knowledge. The new feature uses a WordPress automatic translation plug-in, based on the Google Translate functionality, to allow on-demand translation for more than 100 different languages. The translate function can be activated by clicking a button in the top section of the main website. This is a unique gift for international authors who engage translation services or editors to assist with writing, manuscript preparation, and editing. This no-cost EQUATOR option is a welcome addition for authors requiring translation services.
