Abstract

Primary care NPs often encounter women with urinary tract infections (UTIs), many of which are recurrent. The American Urological Association's guideline on uncomplicated recurrent UTIs in women provides 16 evidence-based guideline statements to assist providers in evaluating and managing this condition. This article explores these guideline statements, offering practical tips to help NPs accurately diagnose and manage these infections.
