Abstract
The authors designed a mnemonic to guide and support nurses' verbal communication about serious adverse occurrences (ASOs). Nurses' abilities and attitudes toward reporting safety concerns improved, which is consistent with high-reliability organizations' focus on the prevention of harm and protection of staff and patients.
