Abstract

There have been numerous reports of aesthetic outcomes after breast reconstruction, although there has been comparatively less data reviewing patient satisfaction and correlating subjective issues. In this issue, we have selected articles pertaining to the ultimate indicator of surgical success, patient satisfaction.

Our patients' perspective of the entire reconstructive process has received increased attention from clinicians, purchasers, and risk managers. Historically, as plastic surgical nurses intimately involved with these women throughout their journey, we have always appreciated the importance of each one achieving successful surgical outcomes.-DPS
