While we don’t have all the answers, we can reassure patients (and our family and friends who turn to us for guidance) with the facts and reputable resources. One challenge for those with a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19 is providing care, whether for oneself or a loved one, at home. Reinforce the emergency warning signs and the advice to call before visiting any health care provider so clinicians can be prepared.
