Bob was a true leader and advocate for the nursing profession. He guided our strategy to reach as many nurses as possible and make their work more efficient to improve patient care.

Bob was also a great friend. We traveled to many conferences together, shared many meals and many laughs. He was a truly caring human being who included everyone, shared lots of fun movie and TV trivia, talked about his love for his family, and gave many of us the best travel advice.

Rest easy, Bob, and thank you for all you did for our team, Lippincott NursingCenter, and nurses everywhere.

It is very hard for me to put into words how much Bob Maroldo meant to me and what an impact he had on my life. We used to tell the story of how we started at the company like an old married couple. Bob started with the company in April 2002 and hired me a few months later in June of the same year. Not only was he a mentor to me all these years but he was like family. Bob was that big brother figure in my life who was there during major changes in my life, the good and the bad. He was so supportive and understanding, and always there to listen and provide insight and compassion.
Bob and I shared a love for baseball, and I had the pleasure of attending several Phillies games and a couple memorable Red Sox games at Fenway with Bob. Without fail, every Christmas, Bob would send me a Whitman chocolate sampler box (something he knew I loved) and when my sons were young, Bob would send them “the coolest, most awesome-est Matchbox car sets ever” – to the point my boys equated Bob with the likes of Santa Claus. (I couldn’t have agreed more with them.)
Bob loved to travel, and he loved spending time with family and friends. Bob lived life to the fullest and would often remind me that “all work and no play makes Kim a dull girl.” I’m devastated to say goodbye to Bob and truly hope he knew how much we all cared about him and the impact that he had.
I promise to “play more,” Bob. You will be so missed.
