South Carolina CE Requirements for License Renewal
As a nurse in the state of South Carolina, you are required to earn continuing education to renew your active license.
Renewal Requirements
RN
- Every two years
- 30 hours of continuing education
LPN
- Every two years
- 30 hours of continuing education
Advanced Practice
- Every two years
- 20 hours in pharmacotherapeutics for NP, CNM, or CNS with prescriptive authority, including 2 hours in prescribing controlled substances for NP, CNM, or CNS with controlled substance prescriptive authority
- Initial license requires 45 hours in pharmacotherapeutics for NP, CNM, or CNS with prescriptive authority, including 15 hours in prescribing controlled substances for NP, CNM, or CNS with controlled substance prescriptive authority.
