Abstract

We present 2 cases from our primary care clinic where patients posed questions about the use of fish oil supplements and eating fish meals to reduce risks for heart disease and premature death and for lowering elevated triglyceride levels. A brief summary of the relevant but often conflicting literature is provided as background for the recommendations given to the patients.
