Abstract

Health and nutrition surveys representative of national, regional, or local populations provide data that cannot be derived in any other way. However, existing national surveys cannot evaluate many of the subpopulations or geographic regions, leaving gaps in data needed by state, county, or local health and government data users. Data collection protocols must be adjusted for each subpopulation while maintaining a standardized methodology.
