The International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses (ISPAN) 2021 Meeting will be held October 27 through October 31 in Atlanta, GA! I can hardly wait! It will be so great to see everyone in person again! Be sure to register for the meeting and reserve your room at the Westin Peachtree Plaza hotel before September 27, 2021. You will also want to review the abstracts for the ISPAN Meeting (ISPAN, 2021) that are included in this issue of Plastic Surgical Nursing (PSN).

This issue includes two Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) articles! In the first NCPD article, Williams (2021) discusses the need to address body image after reconstructive surgery in adult patients with cancer. As the author points out, nurses are uniquely positioned to help patients reduce their embarrassment and shame and improve their self-confidence and acceptance of their body image. In the second NCPD article, which is the Fundamentals of Plastic and Aesthetic Nursing Practice column, Van Wicklin (2021a) discusses best practices for hand hygiene. There is nothing more fundamental to good nursing practice than performing effective hand hygiene.

The "I Have a Question!" column discusses antibiotic prophylaxis for preventing surgical site infection in patients undergoing plastic surgery (Van Wicklin, 2021b). In addition to this informative Letter From the Editor-in-Chief (Van Wicklin, 2021c) and the two NCPD offerings, this issue of PSN contains a number of other interesting and enlightening articles. You have the opportunity to read the inspiring messages provided by our ISPAN President-Elect, Gerri Obi (Obi, 2021) and the President of our Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board (PSNCB), Renee Hinojosa (Hinojosa, 2021). The Evidence Review column (Van Wicklin, 2021d) describes an interesting systematic review of evidence supporting risk management strategies for patients who may be at risk for breast implant-associated anaplastic large-cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) (Nelson et al., 2021). But there is more!! Hard to believe, I know, but it is true!

This issue contains two Letters to the Editor! The first letter describes the authors' realization that enzymatic debridement of burns reduces the need for blood transfusion (Hagiga et al., 2021a). The second letter describes the authors' experience in improving wound care for patients undergoing bromhidrosis surgery (Chen & Ho, 2021). In a very interesting case report, Hagiga et al. (2021b) discuss their care of a patient who presented with a cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck secondary to perineural invasion. Forte et al. (2021) also present a systematic review of experimental studies of latissimus dorsi detrusor myoplasty for bladder acontractility. But, there is still more!

In a very touching and heart-felt essay, Platt (2021) describes her personal journey with BIA-ALCL. Finally, Hagan (2021) identifies questions that candidates and employers should be asking when interviewing for aesthetic provider positions.

That is a lot of really great reading for plastic and aesthetic nurses. I hope you gain some additional knowledge that you can use to enhance your practice and that you enjoy the read! I'm so proud to be the editor-in-chief of this amazing journal that reflects the vast diversity of plastic and aesthetic nursing.

Hope to see you in Atlanta!
